Four Winds Farm Mrs Molesworth 9781492173557 Books
The story is a classic. If you are interested in Victorian children's books you'll like it.The paperback edition is not good.
1. The title is listed as "Four Winds Farm; and, the Children of the Castle." Four Winds Farm is a Mrs. Molesworth book, and The Children of the Castle is another. Only Four Winds Farm is included in the book.
2. Page 80-81 is missing, and page 82-83 is duplicated.
3. Someone has purposely put in a blank page before the first page, so all the left-hand pages in the book can be on the right and vice versa. It means all the page numbers are on the insides of the pages, and the chapter indication, which was printed to span the inner top of the page is confusing as it is now split up and where the page numbers should be.
The print is huge. To some that may be a plus, but to me anything over about 12 point is a waste of trees.
Given that the paperback is reasonably expensive, and the story is not very long, I expected better. So the story gets 5 stars, the edition gets 1 star, and it averages out to 3 stars.
